The SAC 2012 (Toastmasters International District 51, 20th Semi-Annual Convention) is certainly a MUST event to attend if we want to M.a.D. This is a ONE and very special opportunity for us to have in our midst, a very charming and compelling plenary speaker – Datin Paduka Marina Mahathir.
Marina is a popular newspaper columnist, gifted writer, committed social activist and award-winning TV producer. She has been credited with an impressive string of accolades, as her talents and energy have been focused on causes which make a difference in the lives of the less fortunate citizens of the world.
In 2010, the United Nations in Malaysia honored Marina as the UN Person of the Year. In 2011, on the 100th anniversary of International Women’s Day, she was one of two Malaysian women among the 100 women worldwide, listed in WomenDeliver.org’s 100 Most Inspiring People Delivering for Girls and Women.
In her plenary address, Marina will share with us her trademark “musings” and “rantings” about leadership and everyday issues that matter in our society.
